Manchester United transfer target, Jonathan David has signed for another club despite strong interest from the Red Devils.
The Canadian international was seen as an alternative signing by United if they can't get their top transfer target Jadon Sancho.
David has opted for a move to French Ligue 1 side Lille OSC from Belgian side Gent in a deal worth ₦14 billion (€30 million/£27m/$35m).
After signing a five-year deal with Lille, the 20-year-old forward claimed he is happy to join the French side and understands the project the club is working on.
"I’m really happy. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this day and it’s a pleasure to be a Dogue," he said.
"This is a very good team with great players. I want to play and to progress and I think that this is the perfect place.
"I’m a player who knows his place on the pitch. I love to play to my qualities, notably with speed and and technique.
"I’m also eager to see our fans! Let’s go LOSC!"
