Will This AC Milan Midfielder Be A Good Signing For Barcelona?

One of AC Milan's finest central midfielder will be out of contract in June 2022 after failing to agree a contract extension with the club. He has been linked him with a possible move to Barcelona, but the question is, will he be a good signing for the club?

According to RogerTorello of Spanish sport newspaper, Mundodeportivo, he said that Barcelona are really interested in Franck Kessié on a free transfer in 2022. The journalist is of the view that should the Ghanaian International not renew his contract in Italy, the club will go after him, as they consider him to be an interesting player, with plenty of quality & experience to offer.

The 24-year-old has been phenomenal for AC Milan in the past few seasons. He played a crucial role in the team's qualification for the UEFA Champions League this season. Playing mainly as a central midfielder, he has also excelled when played in the defensive midfield position.

At 6.1 inch, he has a very good passing range, good at ball blocking, and he has the height to compete for aerial duels. He is the kind of midfielder Barcelona currently needs in their team because I feel the team currently lack that physical figure at the middle park. His statistics last season prove that he is a top quality midfielder, who will be a plus to any team he finds himself.

For the 2020/2021 season, He played 37 Serie A matches for AC Milan, and he scored 13 crucial goals and made a total of 4 assist. His Europa League stats are not that encouraging because he only netted once in 11 appearances. Given the position he plays, his goal scoring are pretty good for a midfielder.

He may be a success at the club if signed, but my major concern is if he will be given adequate game time, considering how the club have treated African midfielders in the past.
