This season's Premier League title battle seems like it will be a nail-biter. Liverpool are currently performing well, but they still need to put some things in place to increase their chances of winning.

On that basis, the Reds must achieve four things in order to win their second Premier League title in three years:

Maintain Mohamed Salah's fitness

It wouldn't be a stretch to claim Mohamed Salah's outstanding performance is the major reason Liverpool can hope to win the Premier League this season. Since the start of the season, the Egyptian has been a revelation in front of goal, delivering solutions to keep the Reds in contention.

In seven Premier League games for Liverpool so far this season, the attacker has a tally of six goals and three assists. This includes a pair of impressive displays against Chelsea and Manchester City.

Right now, Mohamed Salah is on fire. As a result, Liverpool must look after him and rely on his talent to win the English championship. The Egyptians have a good chance of winning this season if they are firing on all cylinders.

Win the big games

The outcome of the matches between the big dogs might decide the battle for the 2021-22 Premier League championship, unlike previous season. That was obvious in the first several weeks.

Chelsea, Man United, and Man City are all genuine championship challengers. Spurs and Arsenal are steadily regaining ground, while Everton and Brighton are also making significant strides this season.

To improve their championship prospects, Liverpool will need to have strong results, if not victories, against these difficult opponents. They drew with Chelsea and Manchester City, but they'll have to work more in the future to complete games of this magnitude.

In January, Liverpool must recruit a capable striker.

With Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane tearing up the league, it goes without saying that Liverpool have the greatest offense in the Premier League right now. The Reds, on the other hand, must strengthen their forward line in order to have trustworthy choices to rely upon when the situation arises.

Mane and Salah will go in January and February to represent their respective countries in the African Cup of Nations. When Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino replace the pair, the quality of play suffers significantly.

In the absence of his preferred strike combination, Jurgen Klopp will need to find strong options in front of goal. He'll have an excellent chance to achieve that with the January transfer.

Virgil van Dijk must remain fit for Liverpool to succeed.

Liverpool's campaign is heavily reliant on Virgil van Dijk's fitness, as we've seen in previous seasons. When the Dutchman was out for many months last season, the Reds were a ghost of their former selves in the Premier League.

Liverpool would be strong challengers against anyone in the Premier League if Virgil van Dijk was in good form. Furthermore, looking via the transfer window for trustworthy solutions to relieve the Dutchman's burden might not be a terrible idea.
