CHE vs NOR: Match Prediction, Preview And Kickoff

Chelsea, the Premier League's top-placed team, will play Norwich, the league's bottom-placed team, in the league's ninth round of fixtures. Chelsea enters the game with a total of 19 points, 17 more than Norwich. The Blues have the most wins in the league (six) and the joint-best defence (three goals conceded).

Chelsea is coming off a 4-0 win over Malmo, which was a considerably easier match than Brentford's previous league match. The victory, however, came at a price, as Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku were forced off due to injury.

The Blues, on the other hand, should have enough skill in attack to replace the duo, and they have a strong home record to help them. They've won five of their seven home games this season. They've only lost once at home against Manchester City in the league, with the other four encounters ending in victories and two clean sheets. In five of Chelsea's eight league games, they have scored two or more goals.

Norwich has shown some form of consistency in their last two games, drawing both, but they face a more difficult task here. They have yet to win in the league and are deservedly at the bottom of the standings. Their single win this season came in the League Cup, and they've lost seven of their ten games.

Norwich has not scored in their last four games, and they have only scored two goals in the league thus far. Teemu Pukki has scored both of their league goals. Norwich hasn't won in 16 league games away from home, and they've only won once in the last 26: a 2-0 triumph at Everton in November 2019. In the last 15 meetings with Chelsea, they have not won.

Chelsea has plenty of attacking quality on the bench to help them breach the Canaries' defence, even without Lukaku and Werner leading the charge.

Farke can take plenty of positives from his team's last two outings, but their attacking troubles persist, and they are unlikely to return from London with anything to show for it. This match will be won by Chelsea.

KICKOFF TIME: This match between Chelsea and Norwich will go down on Saturday at 12:30PM Nigerian time.
