As Manchester United bloom with young talents, it's time to check out the next 5 academy players to watch out for next season.

•Anthony Elanga

The 17 year old tallied an impressive seven goals and three assists in nine games for the u18 premier league season, and he has also featured for u23 team.

Elanga has been part of the Manchester United youth system since July 2018 and will likely become a regular of Neil woods u23 side for next season. A first team call up can't be ruled out either, especially for an EFL cup games or something similar.

Of course, it's very easy to see why Elanga is rated by United. Not only is the Swede quick, but he's got superb ball control and is direct in his play. He is still a little raw and needs to improve his decision making.

Although that will get better with time and more experience.

•Arnau Puigmal

Manchester United knew they bagged a real prospect in Puigmal upon signing him from Espanyol in July 2017. Hopefully it won't be long before he suit up for the senior squad.

Although the 19 year old may be better served to go on loan for next season instead of playing for u23 side again.

He got good potential and just needs somebody to give him that big break.

One of puigmal's standout traits is his ability to cover several roles successfully. For example, he thrived as a right back last season for the u18s before adopting a central midfielder role for the u23s this term.

The Spain u19 international can also play as a winger and a defensive midfielder.

•Hannibal Mejbri

The france u17 international joined Manchester United for an incredible £9.6 million deal in August 2019 after impressing for AS Monaco in the UEFA youth league. He's since settled in well at United.

Mejbri is definitely an impressive talent and has impressed everyone through the way he glides almost effortlessly across the pitch.

The 17 year old has spent the bulk of his season in Manchester playing under Neil Ryan for the u18s,making 13 appearances in all competitions.

Mejbri also played five times for the u23s, registering an assist in three consecutive matches in premier league 2 despite only starting once.

Therefore, we'll likely see more of him next season. Whether Mejbri will appear for the first team next term is uncertain, but he's definitely on the right track anyway.

•Ethan Liard

Liard has been a part of the Manchester United youth system since 2017 and he has already made two first team appearances, which came this season's Europa league. More will likely follow.

Solskjaer clearly rates the 18 year old, whose honed defensive instinct give the impression of a more experienced player than what his age may suggest.

Not only is the right back fast, but he's great in tackles and can link up well with teammates in attack.

Hopefully, we'll see more of him soon.

•Teden Mengi

The 18 year old was one of many young stars who travelled with the Manchester United squad for the Europa league defeat to Astana in November.

While he didn't play in the end, his senior debut can't be far off now.

Mengi has all the key attributes of a centre back in being tall, strong and quick.

The Manchester-born star is also improving on reading the game and always seems composed on the ball.

Overall, its been a solid campaign for Mengi. The center back got promoted to the u23s and started 14 of his 15 appearances in premier league 2, helping United climb up to second in the division 2 standing.
