The Blues have shown their desire to compete with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool for more trophies this season and have signed Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Bettinelli to bolster their current squad.
That has quite worked well so far, as Chelsea are currently on top of the Premier League table ahead of the international break after racking up 16 points from their first seven league matches.
However, the West London club could now be rocked with reports that their goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is reportedly eyeing a transfer move away from the club.
The 27-year-old Spain International, who joined Chelsea from LaLiga side Athletic Bilbao in 2018 has failed to live up to expectations since he made the move.
The experienced goalkeeper was fairly involved for Chelsea last season where he made 14 appearances in all competitions as the Blues lifted their second-ever UEFA Champions League.
However, following the arrival of Edouard Mendy in September 2020, Kepa Arrizabalaga has found game time difficult to come by and has made jusy four competitive appearances so far this season.
Due to that, it is believed that Kepa Arrizabalaga is disappointed with his lack of playing time and according to reports from The Sun, he could be on the verge of leaving the club when the transfer window opens.
The reports further claimed that Serie A side SS Lazio are keen on signing him in order to reunite him with former boss Maurizio Sarri who brought him to Chelsea.
That said, it remains to be seen if Kepa Arrizabalaga will be interested in leaving Chelsea for Lazio next year or stay and challenge Edouard Mendy for a starting spot in the Chelsea first team.
