OFFICIAL: Chelsea Signs England Youngster For An Undisclosed Fee

Chelsea have signed England youngster, Teddy Sharman-Lowe from English side Burton Albion for an undisclosed fee. The young goalkeeper will stay on loan at Burton Albion for next season.

Sharman-Lowe is an England under-17 international and was called up to play for U17 squad for the Three Lions’ games in February. He is currently with the England under-19.

Chelsea released an official statement in their website to confirm Sharman-Lowe's deal.

"Chelsea has completed the signing of young goalkeeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe from Burton Albion on a three-year contract," the club stated.

The 17-year-old goalkeeper said he is happy to join Chelsea and he believe he can develop further at Stamford Bridge.

“It’s brilliant and it has all happened so fast. Burton have developed me so well and now it’s another new beginning and, hopefully, I can develop further with Chelsea," he said.

“I’m excited to be joining such a great club, especially as they are known for bringing on young players. It has all happened in a flash, from playing for the first team in pre-season, and then joining a top four Premier League contender.

“I want to say a massive thank you to all the first team staff, Jake Buxton and the players and to Nigel Clough, Dan Robinson, Paul Reynolds, Sam Rose and all the Academy staff for all their help and support. I just want to continue training with that support, develop as a player, get a few games and see how it pans out.”
