Women's Super League Analysis, Results, Table And Top Scorers After Arsenal's Dominance On Day 5

The English Women's Super League games for Matchday 5, were observed in different stadia with Chelsea women trying hard to defend the title. Every big Club represented their supporters well except Tottenham Hotspur Women who tasted their first defeat of the season.

Man United Women still struggled to get a point in their day 5 game against their noisy neighbors, Man City Women. After City's Georgia Stanway was sent off in the 35th minute for an unsporting behaviour against Galton, Khadika Shaw went ahead to put city up with the first goal in the 38th minute to seal the first half for the 10 woman City side. United's Lucy Staniforth and Alessia Russo made it 2-1 for Man United Women in space of 3 minutes but Ellen White secured a vital 2-2 draw for the visiting City Women in the 79th minute as they got a point each on the day.

West Ham Women were held by Birmingham City Women to a 1 all draw. Walker's 54th minute goal was going to stand until Birmingham's Quinn levelled in the 67th minute to share the points for the night.

Chelsea Women came late in the game to beat a well composed Leicester City Women at the Kingsmeadow Stadium. The deadlock was broken in the 83rd minute when Harder got the first goal and Fran Kirby sealed it with the 2nd goal as Chelsea rise on the women's Super League Log.

Arsenal Women return to the top of the League Log following their 3-0 victory over Everton Women. The Gunnars are the only side still maintaining their 100% run of games after acquiring 15 points in 5 games, posing huge threats against defending Champions, Chelsea. Thanks to McCabe and Wubben-Moy's first half goals that weakened Everton before Frida Maanum settled it for Arsenal in the 86th minute of the encounter.

Tottenham Hotspur Women lost their unbeaten run to the fire Power of a determined Brighton Women. Lee's first goal was looking like the first blood but Williams 86th minute strike doubled the host's lead as Spurs' Graham came with a consolation goal just 2 minutes after. Man City Women have failed to replicate last season's form as they go low to the 9th spot with 4 points in 5 games.

Chelsea's Kerr continue to lead the Scorers' chart with 5 goals in 5 games even though she couldn't score against Leicester City Women but assisted Kirby for Chelsea 2nd goal.

Arsenal's Miedema as well failed to score a goal but already had 4 goals this season as Team mate Little who trail the Dutch Striker by 2 assists. McCabe's goal against Everton Women increased her goals tally to 3 as Chelsea's Fran Kirby but Kirby is ahead of her on the log by 2 assists.

The rate at which Arsenal Women are moving indicates a great challenge to defending Champions Chelsea who have already lost to the Gunners this season, does it mean we are welcoming a new Sheriff in town this season?
