Victor Lindelof really stepped up and had a superb game against Leeds United today.

Many critics claim that he is not good in winning aerial duels but today, he won 3 out of 3 aerial duels. The competition seems to be rubbing off on him too and that's exactly what Manchester United fans want. The fact here is that since Raphael Varane is now a part of the Manchester United squad and competition has begun as to who will partner Harry Maguire as centre-back, because Maguire is 'unbenchable'.

In my opinion, since Varane wasn't cleared to play today against Leeds United, Lindelof used that opportunity and put in a brilliant performance that will convince Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer not to dump him on the bench when Varane joins the squad.

But if Lindelof continues this performance, then Varane will be rotated with him instead of him being benched in favor of Varane.
