Predicting results in the Premier League is one task which is extremely difficult to do, as you never know which particular fixture will surprise everyone. With that in mind, I predict the EPL table to take another look come Christmas, as I expect Arsenal to sneak into four.
For the second time this season, the English Premier League alongside other top European Leagues have been put on hold, as players move in different directions to represent their various countries at the international level. Clubs will be hoping that their first team players return to the club without injuries.
With just seven games into the season, the League standing is already taking shape. Chelsea tops the League table with 16 points, while Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United occupies second, third and fourth position respectively. Surprisingly, newly promoted side, Brentford who many did not expect to do excellently well, currently occupies 7th place, while Arsenal occupy an underwhelming 11th spot after a disappointing start to the season.
Things are starting to take shape for the gunners, as their disappointing opening three fixtures was followed up by three wins in three league matches in the month of September. Looking at the upcoming fixtures Arsenal have at hand, there is every possibility that the gunners will be in the top four by Christmas. Shortly after facing Crystal Palace, they play Leicester, Watford and Newcastle.
Also, I predict that Manchester United will fall down the League table because of the difficult upcoming fixtures they have. After playing against Liverpool, they take on Tottenham then play Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool on the other hand will likely stay in the top four, as they have quite some easy fixtures. The EPL table will take a new shape after these matches, and it may look like this;
