She's also the first British woman to reach the US Open final since Virginia Wade in 1968.

With her semifinal victory over 12th seed, Maria Sakkari in two straight sets of 6-1, 6-4 in 84 minutes, Emma also became the youngest Grand Slam finalist since Maria Sharapova in 2004.

A victory in the US Open final with another teenage sensation, Leylah Fernandez will guarantee Emma a cash prize of $2.5million(N102million).

In her semifinal match against Maria Sakkari, Emma served 3 Aces, recorded 71% first serve accuracy and posted 73% win on her first serve and 79% on her second serve according to Foxsports.

The final of the US Open tournament, already tagged an all-teenage final, comes up on Saturday, 11th September, 2021 at Arthur Ashe Stadium, US.
