Super Eagles of Nigeria prospect and young football talent, Karim Adeyemi was in action on Tuesday night for his Austrian Bundesliga club FC Salzburg in their opening game of the new UEFA champions league season against Sevilla at the Estadio R. Sanchez Pizjuan.
The young forward meastro was handed a role to play in his team's starting XI following his outstanding performance for the club in their previous game and he was able to impress with his great influx of delivery.
Karim Adeyemi was at the heart of the forward line as he contributed his quota in the game which was instrumental in rescuing a point for his team which placed them at the top of the table.
The first half of the game was such an intensed one as there was nothing to separate the two sides at half time which ended one all draw.
The visitor opened the scoring sheet in the 21st minutes via a penalty kick as Luka Sucic put the ball away from the spot to make it one nil before former Barcelona star, Ivan Rakitic got levelled for the host in the 42nd minutes as he scored from the spot to make it 1-1 going into the half time break.
The tempo of the game got more tensed up in the second half as they both put up some physical, tactical and technical displays but none was able to found the back of the net with all efforts to add more to the tally of the night proving abortive as it ended one all draw at full time thereby making it no victor no vanquished.
The disappointing result of the night for Salzburg means they currently sit at the top of the table with just a point in one game played and as such be hoping to be back to winning ways in their next fixture, so as to keep their pursuit going in the competition.
