The 33 years old played in his side friendly game against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday. Sevilla faced Paris Saint-Germain in a friendly at Estadio Algarve, Portugal.
Rakitic scored the opening goal from the penalty spot five minutes before the half tm break. PSG equalised eight minutes later after Mauro Icardi scored the equaliser. Sevilla took the lead in the second half but conceded a late goal which ended the game in a draw.
Recall that Rakitic played along with Neymar during his seven years spell at Barcelona.
Rakitic took several pose with the jersey and captioned: "Thank you so much for the gift my brother! I would have loved to see you yesterday, you have been missed! Enjoy your holidays and good luck for the new season!"
Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has been handed extended break following his participation in the 2020 Copa America where they lost to Argentina in the final.
