Premier League

Marcus Rashford scored the opening goal to put Manchester United in front.

The fight to finish top four continues as Chelsea, Leicester City and Manchester United all won their last matches.

On Wednesday, Chelsea narrowly won Norwich by one goal to nil. Today Leicester City won Sheffield United by two goals to nil. In form Manchester United were not left out as they also made away with all three points beating the home team; Crystal Palace with two unreplied goals.

This is how the EPL table stands;

With the way the English premier league table stands, Chelsea, Leicester City and Manchester United need not to drop a single point if they don't want to fall out from finishing top four and also securing a place to partake in next season's UEFA Champions league football competition.

Going to play Crystal Palace at home isn't an easy place to go in this particular period with the way the English premier league table stands. We all saw how Chelsea battled to narrowly escape with all three points as they won by 3 goals to 2.Manchester United had a comfortable victory over the host team, scoring in both halves. Thanks to Marcus Rashford as he opened the score sheet for Manchester United and also gave them hope as they beat Palace by 2 goals to nil.

Despite the win for Manchester United, they still sit 5th on the English premier league table since Chelsea and Leicester City also won their games.

Manchester United still have to play West Ham before contending with Leicester City as they struggle to book a place for champions league football next season.

Meanwhile, they are still in the Europa competition and are seen as the possible winners of the competition. Winning the Europa league gives them automatic ticket or qualification to play UEFA Champions league football next season.

To all Manchester United fans, hope is not yet lost, we could use one stone to kill two birds.
