It was a defensive battle between Ruben Dias and Van Dijk as both players showed class from the beginning of the match to the end. Manchester City failed to convert their clear cut chances as in the first half of the game despite outplaying Liverpool.

Sadio Mane's brilliant goal in the 59th minutes of the game gave Liverpool the first goal of the match. City responded with a brilliant performance that lead to Foden goal in the 69th minutes of the game.

Mohamed Salah's brilliant solo goal gave Liverpool the lead before Kevin Debruyne's 81 minutes shot gave Manchester City the second goal.

Manchester City could have won the game but two controversial decisions by the Video Assistant Referee and the Center Referee's decision denied Pep Guardiola's team the victory.

James Milner was involved in the two tackles that could have given Manchester City two penalties but a controversial decision by the Ref and VAR denied City the penalty.

James Milner first incident was on Foden and according to the review, the Ref have a clear view of the incident but refused to award a penal

The Reason Why the Referee refused to award the penalty to Foden is because the Ref had no clear view of the incident and he thought it was a deliberate diving by the England star.

Many Manchester City players are known for diving but that should have been a clear penalty and a second yellow card for Milner.

The Video Assistant Referee's decision not to review the foul by Milner means the Referee was right about his decision.

There was a similar Incident in last season English premier league between James and Tierney and the VAR and Ref decision was a penalty and yellow card against Chelsea.

The Video Assistant Referee and the Ref decision to deny City a penalty can be branded as the worst decision against City in this season English premier league.

Do you think the VAR was wrong not to award City a Penalty?
