It ended goaless between Westbrom and Everton in the first half. Westbrom started the game brightly almost took the lead in the opening two minutes, when Jordan Pickford denied Diagne's looped header, while Everton's only shot on target in the first 45 minutes came in the 42nd minutes when Dominic Calvert-lewin's low drive was brilliantly saved by Westbrom's Goalkeeper, Johnstone.
In the second half, Everton took the lead in the 65th minutes when Richarlison's header found the back of the net, following a cross from Giffy Sigurdsson into the six yard area.
