Albanian Kategoria Superiore title winning coach Emmanuel Ndubuisi Egbo has advocated for more opportunities to be given to Nigerian coaches to tinker the affairs of the National Teams in the Nigeria.
Ndubuisi who recently won the league with FK Tirana in an exclusive chat with foremost WhatsApp platform Nigeria Sports Mouthpiece (NSM) said the Nigeria Football Federation needs to trust our local coaches by giving them the necessary support and enabling environment to thrive.
"As an African Country we tend to give foreigners more respect and opportunities than giving our own, other countries respect their local coaches more than the African coaches so why can't we do the same.
Sunday Oliseh was there, for me he is also one of the good coaches, Emmanuel Amunike was there, including Samson Siasia, we do not allow them to do their job, people did not like Oliseh maybe because of his strong mentality and approach but then when you get a coach, you need to allow him do his job, all we need is to support our own and give them opportunity to work".
Speaking on the current coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr and his chances of winning the next African Cup of Nations (AFCON) the UEFA Pro License coach advocated for support as that is the only way he can thrive.
"As for Gernot Rohr, he is the current coach, we just have to support him because the NFF has chosen him and also given him a new contract, so Nigerians have to support him to bring the title home".
Ex-International Emmanuel Ndubuisi Egbo made several appearances for the National team and also played in the NPFL for then Julius Berger.
