West Ham United manager, David Moyes signs a new deal.

In recognition of his efforts in leading West Ham to sixth place in the Premier League, David Moyes has signed a new three-year deal with the club, and he says he is "very excited by the vision" of the organization.

The 58-year-old Scot outperformed expectations in his second time at West Ham, securing them a place in next season's Europa League with 65 points, which was their best Premier League finish in his tenure so far.

After taking over for the fired Manuel Pellegrini in December 2018, he was instrumental in keeping them from relegation the previous season.

According to Moyes, who spoke in a statement on the club's website, "we have achieved incredible progress in the previous 15 months, and that has been a collective effort from everyone at the club."

“As we all strive to see the club continue to flourish, we must continue to push the boundaries in order to achieve continual development.

“I am quite encouraged by the level of desire that we have at the club, and we want to work as hard as we possibly can to keep moving forward and hopefully provide many wonderful memories for our supporters.”

Moyes is closing in on his 100th game in command of West Ham, and his 1,000th competitive game as a manager overall.

“This is where I want to be, and I'm thrilled to be here,” Moyes stated.

“I am thrilled to have been offered this opportunity to expand on the successes that we have already accomplished together.

"The owners and I are completely on the same page when it comes to how we want to continue developing and growing the football club."

Gold and Sullivan expressed their excitement at Moyes' decision to extend his stay in the United Kingdom.

According to the club, the announcement was "wonderful news" and "we are happy that David has committed his long-term future to the club, assuring wonderful stability going forward."
