Chelsea reach impasse in Andreas Christensen talks

According to a report, Chelsea's contract discussions with Andreas Christensen have hit a brick wall, the Denmark international has established himself as a key member of Thomas Tuchel's backline over the past year, making 10 appearances in all competitions this season.

However, Christensen's contract with Chelsea is set to expire in 2022, and the Blues are determined to reach new terms with the defender in the coming weeks.

The Blues, on the other hand, are reportedly getting increasingly concerned about the situation, with Goal reporting that negotiations have stalled after two months of radio silence from both parties.

According to the report, Chelsea's recent offer of a contract extension for Christensen included a 'significant' wage increase, although he would still be one of the club's lowest earners.

Christensen has made 137 appearances for Chelsea since coming through the youth ranks, winning the Champions League, Europa League, and FA Cup along the way.
