AS Roma continued with their poor run of form in all competitions when they travelled to face Bodoe/ Glimt at the Aspmyra Stadion on Thursday evening. The Italian side suffered a humiliating defeat in the UEFA Conference League today as they lost 6-1 to Bodoe/Glimt. The Norwegian team put up an astonishing performance in the match to comfortably defeat a high class team like AS Roma tutored by an experienced manager in Jose Mourinho.
Jose Mourinho made two wrong decisions in the match which I could say were reasonable for AS Roma's humiliating loss to Bodoe/Glimt today. Let's take a look at these wrong decisions he made.
1, Using A Poor Lineup Against Bodoe/Glimt.
Jose Mourinho clearly underestimated the Norwegian team as he used a very weak starting lineup to play the match. The Portuguese manager started new names like Borja Mayoral, Carles Perez and many others who weren't giving a starting role at the club before. This really affected the team's performance as they were unable to defeat Bodoe/Glimt in today's match.
2, Benching His Key Players In Today's Matches
Jose Mourinho made a bad decision of benching his key players in today's match as AS Roma underperformed due to their absence on the pitch. The likes of Tammy Abraham, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Mkhitaryan were all benched against Bodoe/Glimt and these are players who could have impacted the game positively if they started. Jose Mourinho paid for his bad decisions in the match which cost him a victory against the Norwegian side.
