CAR vs NIG: Head-Head, Formation & Current Form Ahead Of Sunday’s Match

The super eagles suffered a shocking defeat at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on Thursday against Central African Republic in their match day 3 of world Qualification matches.

The Super Eagles won their first two matches which made them to occupy the first position in group C, but they could not beat the Central African Republic in their third match. The visitors scored a late minute goal at 89 minutes of the game against Nigeria to secure their first win. In their previous matches, they played a draw which was against Carpe Verde and lost their second match against Liberia.

Super eagles left Nigeria this morning to Cameroon for the second leg match against the Central African Republic. The match will be played in Doula from 2pm tomorrow been the 10th day of September.

Despite the poor performance from the super eagles in Nigeria, the fans are confident enough of Super eagles winning their match against Central African Republic in Cameroon. The captain, Ahmed Musa assured Nigerians to expect a good result as they face their opponent on Sunday afternoon.

Current Form

Super Eagles have recorded two victories in the last three matches both at home and away. The team is fit and has all it takes to win their opponents.

The Central African Republic have recorded one win, a draw and lost one match in their last three matches. They may find it difficult to qualify for group C.

Head To Head

Their second world cup qualification match against Central African Republic in Cameroon will be the second both countries are meeting each other. Their first meeting ended in favor of Central African Republic in Nigeria.

Formation/Lineup

Gernot Rohr is likely to use the same squad that played against Central African Republic in Lagos due to the absence of Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi in the squad.
