Finidi George, Head Coach Of Enyimba FC Reacts After Away Win Against Diambars FC

The head coach of Enyimba football club, Finidi George has expressed his delight after his boys emerged victorious in an away first leg second preliminary round CAF Confederation Cup against Diambars football club of Senegal. Enyimba got a late penalty at the 86th minute courtesy of Cyril Olisema after Gabriel Orok was brought down at the 18-yard box.

While speaking to journalists after the match, coach George stated that he was very happy for the away victory gotten by his team. He went further to reveal that he knew before the match that Diambars was a technically good team and pass the ball very well which made him deplore a formation that would contain them. The former Super Eagles winger added that the Senegalese club already had an advantage over Enyimba before the game in the sense that Diambars have already played some competitive league matches.

Coach George stated thus, "We saw in the second half most players were tired after sixty minutes and we made some changes and brought in some fresh legs which really helped to give us that penalty."

Enyimba will welcome Diambars next weekend for the second-leg fixture.
