The Nigerian professional football league, popularly known as the NPFL came alive today with some existing results like Kano pillars beating EYIMBA International so let's take a look at how the table looks like.
Kano pillars are now the league leaders with 48 points after they won EYIMBA International by 2:1 after they were the first to concede at their own stadium.
That result means that AKWA United are now in the second position in the Nigerian professional football league table with 46 points after they held WIKKI Tourist football club to a 2:2 draw this evening.
Kwara United are now in third place after they sealed a comfortable 3:0 victory over JIGAWA Golden Stars today, they are closely followed by NASARAWA United and Rivers United in fourth and fifth place respectively.
In the Nigerian professional football league, four teams are always relegated at the end of the season, which means that WARRI Wolves, IFEANYI UBAH football club, Sunshine stars and ADAMAWA United are all in the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, the current NPFL champions, EYIMBA International are still occupying the seventh position after they failed to pick a point against Kano pillars today.
But, which teams do you think are the favourites to win this year's Nigerian professional football league? Share your thoughts with us, thanks.
