Chelsea take on Aston Villa in the Third Round of the English Carabao Cup on Wednesday, in what will be a very tough tie for the blues.
Remember that Chelsea and Aston Villa recently went head to head in the premier league, and it was Thomas Tuchel’s side who secured all three points, thanks to a 3-0 win, so we're expecting more of the same when both teams clash in the EFL cup.
Chelsea are likely to rest some key players on Wednesday, with players like Ben Chilwell, Saul Niguez, Loftus-Cheek and Trevoh Chalobah expected to feature.
Other players like Romelu Lukaku, Rudiger and Mendy have all been featuring for Chelsea over the past few weeks, but they are all expected to maintain their starting roles when Aston Villa come visiting.
Below is how we expect Thomas Tuchel’s men to lineup against Aston Villa on Wednesday in the EFL cup.
Lineup: Mendy, Chalobah, Silva, Rudiger, James, Saul, Loftus-Cheek, Chilwell, Ziyech, Werner, Lukaku.
