CR7, Ibrahimovic, Suarez, Lewandowski: Ranking the Top 10 Greatest Strikers in the 21st Century

We have gotten to see some of the greatest strikers in the history of football in the 21st century. The likes of Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Aguero among many others have scored tons of goals in the 21st century. This makes the ranking of the top ten best strikers of the 21st century even more difficult.

However, there is a clear leader at the top of the list. Cristiano Ronaldo is undisputedly the greatest striker of the 21st century. The Portuguese superstar has won both trophies and hearts in the 21st century.

From a little boy in Sporting Lisbon's academy, he has gone ahead to achieve greatness with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.

His time with the Red Devils yielded him his first Ballon d'Or award with four others coming during his time at Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more than 800 career goals in the 21st century. He is a proud holder of some of the most prestigious records in the world of football.

Second on the list is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The current AC Milan striker is one of the greatest strikers in the history of the game. The Swede striker is known for his aura and goalscoring ability. Although the Champions League has continued to elude him, his record of goals in the 21st century can't be undermined.

The third greatest striker in the history of football is Robert Lewandowski. The Polish star is a fantastic goalscorer who has won numerous trophies in his career, including one Champions League title. He could have won the Ballon d'Or award in 2020 if not for the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic. The current Barcelona star has scored more than 550 career goals and provided more than 100 assists in his career.
