The Los Blancos remain hellbent on winning back the La Liga trophy from bitter-rivals Atletico Madrid and have signed David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga to strengthen their squad during the summer.
However, that has quite worked out so well for Real Madrid as they are currently in second position on the La Liga table following their recent 2-1 victory over Barcelona at the Camp Nou on Sunday.
And despite their good run of form, Real Madrid remain keen on improving their squad and have been linked with a double swoop for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland and Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.
It is believed that the Santiago Bernabeu side are already preparing for a new era and according to reports from The Sun, they are now keen on getting both players when the summer transfer window opens.
Meanwhile, both players have been in stellar form for their various clubs since the start of the 2021/2022 season.
Erling Haaland has scored 13 goals while also providing four assists in 10 appearances in all competitions, helping Borussia Dortmund to second position on the Bundesliga table.
Kylian Mbappe on the other hand, has scored six goals and recorded eight assists in 14 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain this season as they sit comfortably on top of the Ligue 1 table.
It is believed that Real Madrid want to get back to their glory days under the management of Carlo Ancelotti and are now prioritising a move for both superstars.
That said, it remains to be seen if Real Madrid will have the financial power to pull a deal for both Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe when the transfer window opens next year.
