5 Footballers who are legends of 2 different clubs

Being a legend in one club takes a lot of effort, but having that status in two clubs is extraordinary, and some footballers were able to do so. A player can excel in two different clubs but may not be adored by the two clubs, an example is Figo for Real Madrid and Barcelona, but these players are legends and ambassadors of two different clubs.

1. Ronaldinho

Gaucho is always a joy to watch, he started his career in Gremio before moving to Europe in 2001. The first club he played in Europe was Paris Saint-Germain, and he performed so well that anytime the club posts about him, they call him a #PSGLegend.

His exceptional display in PSG made Barcelona buy him, and he won the heart of many people around the world while playing for Barcelona. When Barcelona organizers any game for legends, Ronaldinho regularly leads the team.

2. Diego Armando Maradona.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time in football, Maradona is a legend of the game. He became a professional in 1976 in Argentinos Juniors, and this is the club that projected his talent to the world.

He scored over 100 goals in 166 games for the club before going to Boca Juniors and, eventually, Europe. Maradona played for 3 Argentine and 3 European clubs but in Argentinos Juniors and Napoli, he remains a legend. This is why the two clubs named their stadiums after him.

3. Xavi

Xavi is first a Barcelona legend, he played over 700 games for the Catalan club and is most likely going to be a Barcelona coach someday. He won many trophies for Barcelona, and the club enjoyed one of its glorious eras with the Spanish player.

The only club he played for after leaving Barcelona is Al Sadd, and he did not only win 4 trophies as a player for the Qatar side, he now has 6 trophies as a coach and is on course to win more, legendary.

4. Johan Cruyff.

Just like Maradona, Cruyff also has two club stadiums named after him, Ajax and Barcelona B stadium. He spent 18 years in Ajax and 5 years in Barcelona as a footballer. He won 18 trophies in Ajax and two in Barcelona.

As a coach, Cruyff was better in Barcelona than Ajax, he improved Barcelona's style of play with the Tiki-Taka, won 11 trophies as a coach with the Spanish club and 3 for Ajax.

5. Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese are currently in Manchester United, the club he joined as a youngster but left as a superstar and legend. The club missed him and was happy to have him back.

Another club that Ronaldo performed wonders was in Real Madrid, where he smashed the all-time goal-scoring record of the club amidst other records. He is a Real Madrid and a Manchester United legend.
