According to Calciomercato's transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Inter Milan turned down the option to re-sign Victor Moses in the last few hours of the summer transfer window due to Radja Nainggolan's failed move to Cagliari.
The Belgian midfielder had agreed personal terms with Cagliari but Inter could not find an agreement with the Islanders.
Manager Antonio Conte has at his disposal five players who can slot in at the wing-back role including Achraf Hakimi, Ashley Young, Perisic, Matteo Darmian and Danilo D’Ambrosio and he would have been left with a bloated squad in that department if Moses's transfer was approved.
The former Nigeria international would have loved to play for Conte once again but Inter failed to get a deal over the line before the transfer window closed for business.
Spartak Moscow are reportedly on the verge of signing Moses on loan with an option to buy, in what will be his sixth loan club after previous stints at Liverpoool, Stoke City, West Ham, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner has been on the books of Chelsea for eight years, scoring 18 goals in 128 matches.
