Is this another chance for Chelsea to prove themselves against Manchester United? Surely it is as they face each other in the FA cup semi-finals. The head to head matches favours Manchester United making them the stronger team but they have another thing coming if they think Frank Lampard's men will not put up a fight.
This starting lineup is definitely going to cause some trouble in the Manchester United defense. Granted, the Chelsea defence this season are lacking and may cause a problem for 'The Blues' on Sunday.
Kurt Zouma is a better choice because of his defensive capabilities. He should play alongside Antonio Rüdiger. Against Crystal Palace, he was able to prevent a last minute goal which would have been an equaliser for the home team.
Reece James over Marcos Alonso because despite the form Reece has been on lately, he's faster than Alonso. The Man Utd forward are quick on the ball and would easily maneuver the Chelsea backline.
Kovacic should be in the starting lineup because he has a way with the ball. He carries the ball forward in the opponent half and is known for his trickery. He should be assisted with Mason Mount who has successfully settled into the Chelsea tactics system.
Jorginho should play the role of a defensive midfielder. N'golo Kante is currently injured and would have to sit the match out.
Tammy Abraham is currently not meeting up to the expectations of the Chelsea coach and the fans. He will most likely miss the starting 11 and give way for the man who helped Chelsea defeat Norwich; Olivier Giroud. No doubt Tammy would come on as a sub, but there's a chance of him missing the starting lineup.
Pulisic and Willian should remain where they are. Their presence alone on the pitch would unsettle the defence.
The game on Sunday 19/07/2020 would be a tough one and Chelsea fans are looking up to the boss for a win. Frank Lampard needs to win this to solidify his stay at Chelsea. Hopefully Chelsea can win this one.
