Arsenal raved back to the top of the English Premier League with an outstanding return to form against beleaguered London rivals Chelsea on Monday night at the Emirates Stadium. Having not won any of their last four Premier League games, the North Londoners eased to a 3-1 success to revive their league title hopes.
Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard hit a brace as Gabriel Jesus summed up the points before the interval, with the Blues slipping to a sixth consecutive defeat under interim manager Frank Lampard. However, Noni Madueke at least strikes a rare consolation goal for Chelsea, who have now lost six of their past seven meetings with the Gunners.
Arsenal's impressive 3-1 win over Chelsea on Tuesday take them back to the top of the league table, two points clear of Manchester City but having played two games more and with Pep Guardiola’s men in excellent form ahead of their visit to West Ham later today.
