REPORTS: Real Madrid keen on signing a new right-back next year

Real Madrid football club will be looking forward to wining more trophies this season under the management of Carlo Ancelotti after a busy summer transfer window.

The La Liga giants added some players to their squad during the summer as they aim to rival the likes of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona for the La Liga title this season.

And that is quite working out well for Real Madrid so far as they are currently occupying the first position on the La Liga table after their 4-1 victory over Granada on Sunday.

And coupled with their good run of form, Real Madrid have now been linked with a move for Manchester City right-back Pedro Porro when the transfer window opens.

The 22-year-old Spain International, who joined Manchester City from Girona in 2019 has so far failed to break into the Manchester City first-team squad since he made the move.

Instead, the young right-back has been sent out on loan on different occasions as he spent the 2019/2020 season on loan at Spanish side Real Valladolid.

Furthermore, Pedro Porro is currently on loan at Portuguese side Sporting CP where he has impressed, scoring two goals and recording two assists in 15 appearances in all competitions.

His impressive performances in midfield is said to have attracted interest and according to reports from The Sun, Real Madrid are keen on signing him.

It is believed that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti wants to provide the needed cover for current right-back Dani Carvajal and have identified a move for Pedro Porro when the window opens.

That said, it remains to be seen if parent club Manchester City will be interested in cashing in on Pedro Porro as he is wanted by Real Madrid next year.
