Joaquin, a former Spain star who is now the captain of Real Betis slammed Barcelona head coach Ronald Koeman. He made the statement "I would not appoint Koeman as a kitman if handed the reins to any given club". It is no new thing that both Joaquin and Koeman have not been in good terms for so long now since he (Joaquin) played under the Barcelona boss at Valencia. Joaquin, a right winger who is known for his pace and acceleration, as well as excellent dribbling and crossing ability endured an unforgettable spell working under Koeman during his time at Valencia.
"It was not the most beautiful experience of my sporting carrier, it was not a pleasant experience, but as I always say: One has to live with everything and what happened at that time. I do not want to talk about the issue because honestly it hurts me. I had a bad time". Those were the words of Joaquin on Koeman. Koeman spent less than six months at Valencia before he was sacked by the Spanish giants and all these happened during that short period of time. According to Joaquin, he is shocked on how Koeman has landed such a high profile post at Barcelona.
The two men paths shall cross on Saturday as Barcelona meets Real Betis, both clubs need the three points as both teams have been struggling in la liga lately.
