After the international break, Chelsea will be looking to maintain their position in the English Premier League. The Blues topped the table after defeating Southampton 3-1 last week, with goals from Travor Chalobah, Timo Werner, and Ben Chilwell.
The Blues' first game following the international break will be against Brantford on the 16th. This would be their first meeting with the Bees, as the two teams had never met before in any competition. The newly promoted side has had a strong start to the season, winning three games, drawing three, and losing one. Their results against Liverpool and Arsenal show that they are a team to watch this season. Tuchel would undoubtedly require his best players in this match in order to win, to ensure Chelsea maintain their lead in the league. Checkout my Strongest XI to face Brantford after the break;
Tuchel may be tempted to start Kepa Arrizabalaga against Brentford because Edouard Mendy is away with Senegal for two games. Mendy would have been exhausted and in need of rest. Kepa has been a reliable stand-in for Mendy when needed. He was outstanding in the Super Cup and at Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
Thiago Silva, who traveled to meet his Brazilian teammates, will most likely miss the game due to Covid-19 restrictions. Tuchel's center-backs should be Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, and Chelsea youngster Trevoh Chalobah, with Cesar Azpilicueta om the right and Alonso on the left. Recce James should be rested because he is still recovering from an injury.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mateo Kovacic were chosen to start in midfield against the Saints and they performed very well. In my opinion, Tuchel should include then in his XI against Brantford. Jorginho 's performance against Spain suggest he should be rested to regain his fitness.
Romelu Lukaku has left Belgium, according to reports, due to a muscle problem. Hopefully, he'll be ready for the game against Brantford.
Tuchel would be unwise if he rested Timo Werner for this game after his impressive performance against Southampton. The left wing position is still up for grabs, but after an impressive performance for England during the international break, Mason Mount is likely to return to Tuchel's starting lineup to assist Timo Werner and Lukaku in attack.
Possible Strongest lineup to face Brantford;
Kepa; Christensen, Rudiger, Chalobah; Alonso, Loftus-Cheek, Kovacic, Azpilicueta; Werner; Mount; Lukaku
