It was a moment of sad faces and disappointment in the camp of the male basketball team of Nigeria (D'Tigers) as they bowed out of the 2020 Olympics ongoing in Tokyo, Japan.
Competing, hopes were high that the basketball team was one of the favourites to win a medal for the nation after they performed exceptionally in the building up to the Olympics with wins over team USA and Argentina.
After the loss, the D'Tigers took to their official Twitter page to thank the fans for their support throughout the competition and the reactions were just on point.
Despite the poor results, Nigerians still showered love, support and accolades to the team encouraging them to pick the positives and prepare better for the 2024 edition.
There is no doubt about the quality of this team. A team with lots of youngsters and promising talents.
