Spanish club side Barcelona are looking to make reinforcement to their squad soon. The club has been in dismal form of late and they hope to bring in new faces soon to improve their fortunes. The Catalan club is looking to bring in Brazilian right-back Dodo from Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.
Barcelona are interested in Dodo. The 22-year-old ex-Vitoria Guimaraes player is been touted by Barcelona as a possible replacement for Sergi Roberto who could exit the Spanish club soon. Roberto is in the final year of his Barcelona contract and he may not renew.
Dodo's abilities have seen likened to his compatriot and Barcelona legend Dani Alves. Dodo is an attack-minded full-back that has got great pace which will fit it well for Barcelona. Dodo joined Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2018 and has made 83 appearances for the club. He has racked up 5 goals and 14 assists. His current contract at the club expires in 2025.
According to Reports, Shakhtar Donetsk could make 22-year-old Dodo available for sale for around 20 Million Euros which is not so huge.
A move to Barcelona will see Dodo compete for a starting spot at right-back with Sergino Dest and Oscar Mingueza should Sergi Roberto leave.
It remains to be seen if Barcelona will seal a move for Brazilian right-back Dodo in 2022.
