Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has heavily relied on Fred and Scott Mc Tominay at the base of the midfield when fit and the pair have been most solid paring at United since Solskjaer was appointed.
Manchester United has also relied on Cristiano Ronaldo for goals since rejoining them this summer after scoring five goals in six appearances but Bryan Robson has suggested that Scott Mc Tominay can play as a box-to-box midfielder with the Red Devils and therefore score goals from his midfield position.
He said they don't need to rely on Cristiano Ronaldo for goals everytime and added that Mc Tominay can step up his game and do more damage. The Scott notched 7 goals for the Red Devils last season and can add to it this campaign if played further forward.
Bryan Robson say "They’ve just got to work a little bit harder and get their finishing right. I think we have one at this club in Scott McTominay, I don’t think he just has to be a sitting midfield player and just class as a defensive player".
