The FA Cup is the oldest national football competition in the world. The competition was named after its organiser The Football Association (FA).

Arsenal remain the most successful team with thirteen titles, closely followed by Manchester United with twelve.

Arsenal former manager, Arsene Wenger is the competition most successful manager, having guided Arsenal to seven final wins.

Manchester City remain the current holders of the FA Cup, after defeating Watford in the FA Cup final in 2019. In all, they have six FA Cup titles.

2019/20 FA Cup season:

Arsenal and Chelsea are in the FA Cup final in the ongoing season after breezing past Manchester City and Manchester United respective.

The Gunners stunned Manchester City 2-0 courtesy of an Aubameyang double, in a fixture that saw former apprentice defeat his old master.

Chelsea also defeated Manchester United to book a final meeting with Arsenal with a 3-1 win. Giroud, Mount and a Maguire own goal put the game beyond United, before Fernandes got a goal back for the Red devils from his spot kick.

From the breakdown above, City and United were the semi final losers and would receive £900,000 each. The semi final winners who were Arsenal and Chelsea would each get £1,800,000 from the semi final round.

The final round between Arsenal and Chelsea will see the eventual winners go with a whooping sum of £3,600,000 and the FA Cup trophy, while the losers or the final runners up will take £1,800,000.
