Two Lineups that could Return Man United and Chelsea to Winning Ways In The UEFA Champions League

Manchester United and Chelsea were handed their first Premier League defeat over the weekend. Both Clubs lost to Aston Villa and Manchester City 1-0 each at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge. The managers of these two teams will be hoping to return to winning ways in the Champions League when the face Villareal and Juventus.

Manchester United and Villarreal will renew their rivalry on matchday 2 of the Champions League 2021/22 season after failing to win their respective game on tournament’s opening day. In their last head-to-head meeting, the Yellow Submarines were crowned Europa League champions after being lucky in a marathon penalty shootout. The Red Devils will hope Ronaldo will continue his scoring form for the club in their UCL match against Villareal on Wednesday.

Chelsea in the other hand will travel to Turin to take on Juventus in the Champions League, In what looks like their toughest assignment in group H. However, the two Lineups below could help Man United and Chelsea return to winning ways in the UCL tonight.

Manchester United's 4-2-3-1 Lineup Vs Villareal

David De Gea is seen at the goal line. Four man defense of Telles, Lindelof, Varane and Wan-Bisaaka. Telles is at the left full-back position because of Luke Shaw's injury, while Lindelof is at the heart of Man United's defense because of Harry Maguire's Injury too. Both key players were substituted during the match against Aston Villa last weekend. Pogba and McTominay are seen at the Defensive Midfield area, while Bruno Fernandes will assume his attacking Midfield role. Man United's front three consists of Martial Ronaldo and Sancho.

Chelsea's 3-4-3 Lineup vs Juventus

Mendy starts in between the sticks. Rudiger, Thiago Silva and Christensen are the Chelsea back-three here. Chilwell will be given another opportunity to start in the Left wing-back, while Azpilicueta will be starting from the right. Loftus-cheek and Jorginho might pair in the Midfield area which could see Kovacic and Kante sidelined. The likes of Havertz, Lukaku and Ziyech could be Tuchel's front three that might start tonight's game against Juventus.
