Serie A Golden Boot Race After Martinez Get Closer To Osimhen On The Goal's Chart

The race for the Golden Boot Award in the Italian Serie A is far from over unlike the Serie A League that deals with 3 points from each win on games. Gradually Argentina's Lautaro Martinez is closing up the gap between him and Victor Osimhen as the season remains only 3 games to end.

Lautaro Martinez' 58th minute strike for Inter Milan against Sassuolo turned his goals to 20 for the season after a brilliant performance and an assist that could as well help him against Osimhen at the end of the season if the need arises. The Argentine has been trailing the Nigerian Striker for over 8 weeks, crawling behind the Napoli striker but the gap now has been reduced to only 3 goals following his determination and dedication to Inter Milan.

Victor Osimhen on the other side failed to find the net in Napoli's 2-0 loss to Monza on Sunday. Victor Osimhen of Nigeria is on the virge of becoming the first African Player in the Serie A to win the Scudetto and the Golden Boot in same season after winning the Serie A for Napoli, but his inability to add to his goals tally could destroy the achievement he's trying hard to attain this season. Osimhen have scored 23 league goals this season after playing 29 games but with just 3 games left this season, Lautaro Martinez could stop him from winning the Golden Boot.

For Dia of Salernitana and Lookman of Atalanta, scoring 10 and 8 goals in 3 games to the close of the season could be difficult. It's not a joke that Osimhen has done great things for his image and his Club this season and his performance against Inter Milan, Bologna and Sampdoria in his left games this season, will go a long way in making history for himself and Africa.
