Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel is a coach that likes rotating old players for new talents. Though he has given these new talents only a little chance to prove themselves. These players deserve more chances to prove themselves to the club.
First on the list is Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The midfielder gained his form initially under Maurizio Sarri but dropped his form after a long injury, before proving himself to Thomas Tuchel during pre-season matches. Ruben can play in any position in the midfield aside as a defensive midfielder. Thomas Tuchel gave the midfielder gave the England international his first start in the game against Southampton in which he provided an assist to the first goal. This player needs to be given more time to prove himself, as his style of play is what Chelsea needs now, a chance to create a midfielder.
Secondly, is Ross Barkley. The former Everton player who signed under Antonio Conte has not proved his quality to the club. He was able to score few goals from outside the box under Frank Lampard but was sent to Aston Villa on a loan deal. Thomas Tuchel has seen the potential in this player and has given him a chance to prove himself. Ross Barkley is known for his ability to give long passes and shoot from a distance which is what every current Chelsea midfielder lacks except Mason Mount. Thomas introduced him halfway through the match against Southampton in which he gave a long pass that lead to a goal.
Lastly, Is Trevor Chalobah. The Chelsea academy Trevor Chalobah was called into the Chelsea first team by Thomas Tuchel. Thomas believed in the young defender. Upon not given enough playing time because of Chelsea's depth in the defense, the young defender has already scored two premier league goals. Thomas Tuchel should devise a means to give these players more playing time than usual.
What's your take on this? Do these players deserve more playing time? Leave your thoughts in the comment box.
