"That's A Red Card"- Chelsea Fans Furious As Fernandinho Escapes A Red Card

Chelsea's game against Manchester City today is probably one of the most tactical games we've seen in English football for a while. This was a clash between two teams who played similar style; dominating possession throughout the game. Both Pep Guardiola and Thomas Tuchel are known to enjoy watching their respective teams keep the ball possession and the game tonight was going to give us an insight to how the two managers matches up against each other. Well, the game did not disappoint as right from kickoff, both teams sprung into action, pressing one another and passing the ball around with ease. At the end, Chelsea did however get the win against all odds but there was one moment in the game that fans could not stop talking about.

It happened in the first half, Fernandinho knocked Mason Mount off the ball near the byline and Mike Dean awarded Chelsea a free kick. But just as the Brazilian was jumping over Mason Mount who was still on the ground, he almost stamped his boot into the face of Mason Mount who reacted very little to it. Many did not notice this but after the incident was replayed, it was obvious that the action was intentional from the Brazilian. His boot was just an inch away from Mount's face and Chelsea fans cannot get why the Brazilian was not sent off or atleast given a yellow card. Here is a picture of the ugly incident...

As you can see above, that was unprofessional from Fernandinho and the referee, Mike Dean shiuld have penalised him over this. Here are some of the angry reactions from Chelsea fans after this incident...
