Opinion: Why Luis Enrique Is Making A Big Mistake By Ignoring Real Madrid Players.

The squad list for the Spanish national team has been selected by Luis Enrique going into another international break and no Real Madrid player has been selected again. This is the third consecutive time a Real Madrid player has not been called up for the Spanish national team matches.

Spanish Real Madrid players have not been at their best lately, with the likes of Marco Asensio, Isco Alarcon, and Lucas Vasquez having lost their places in the starting XI, and Dani Carvajal being injury-prone.

Nacho Fernandes, who has provided depth in the defense department after being a regular starter with Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid team, and Marco Asensio, who is evolving into a second striker, would have been great in the absence of a proper number nine in the team due to injury.

Real Madrid loanee, Brahim Diaz, who has scored or assisted in six of the last eight games played for AC Milan this season, has been ignored while Barcelona's Gavi, who has only started in two games at the top level, has been picked up.

Real Madrid players like Sergio Ramos, Isco Alarcon, and Marco Asensio were an integral part of the team before the appointment of Luis Enrique.

Luis Enrique's team was eliminated in the semi-finals of Euro 2020 without any players from Real Madrid, but they only won two games in the regular 90 minutes of play.

Playing for a club like Real Madrid shows you have great quality and experience of playing under immense pressure, and the Spanish national team is missing out on both.
