National President of ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi was reacting to the recently concluded NWFL Super six in Ijebu Ode, where Rivers Angels emerged Champions.
The ANFASSC President said the Women league under Mrs. Aisha Falode has witnessed a tremendous turn around, adding that she has completely changed the face of women football and expressed optimism that she will do more with the support of stakeholders.
He said "Let me kick it off from the personalities that the Super six attracted in Ijebu Ode, the Hon. Sports Minister, Mr. Sunday Dare was in town, the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick and a host of other bigwigs in Nigerian football turned up"
"It's an attestation that Madam Aisha Falode is doing something right and as I love to say, for her to sustain the tenacity, we all need to rally round the women football project and continue to build it".
The Super six eventually produced two teams that will represent Nigeria at the WAFU Zone B qualifiers for the maiden edition of the CAF Women's Champions League billed for July 15-31 in Ivory coast.
Champions Rivers United will be joined by runners up Delta Queens at the tournament.
