Week 21 of the English Premier league action continued on Wednesday with some exciting fixtures played out in the day.
The first game of the day Manchester city defeat Burnley at the Turf Moor staduim as the Citizens stretched their winning streak in the premier league to 9 games.
Pep Guardiola's made sure they had a commanding two goal lead at halftime as an early goal from Gabriel Jesus and a second from Raheem Sterling was enough to seal a win for the Citizens who failed to add to their tally in the second half.
Leicester city were also on hand a 2-0 defeat to relegation strugglers Fulham who were unable to spring up a surprise at home as first half goals from Kelechi Iheanacho and Justin were enough to see Brendan Rodgers men walk away with all three points.
Liverpool were also in action against Brighton in what was the last fixture of the day as the reds looked continued their recent resurgence in the premier league.
The reds largely dominated the proceedings in terms of possession, but they were largely unable to break down Brighton who gallantly defended well in the first half.
Liverpool looked to break the deadlock in the second half of the game, but Brighton had other ideas as they surprisingly took the lead in the 56th minute as Steven Alazte finished off a fine team move to put the Seagulls ahead in the game.
The home side were sorely missing the presence of Sadio Mane and they struggled to impose themselves on the game as they unsuccessful went in search of an equalizer which meant they lost a second consecutive home game in the premier league.
