Unstoppable Simy Nwankwo marks his recall to the Super Eagles with another goal for his club

Simy Nwankwo grabbed his 20th goal of the season for Crotone in their draw against Benevento at the Stadio Ciro Vigorito this Sunday.

Nwankwo who is the second highest scoring African in Europe top five league this season scored in the 93rd minute to save his team from defeat.

Benevento went ahead in the opening 13th minute after Gianluca Lapadula beat Crotone's goalkeeper Marco Festa with a superb finish.

Things got worse for the visitors as Vladimir Golemic was shown a straight red card in the 24th minute of the encounter.

Crotone struggled all evening with a man down and were on brink of another defeat, before they managed to snatch a late equaliser, courtesy of Simy Nwankwo.

Simy Nwankwo pounced on a pass from Pedro Pereira to score the equalizer with the last kick of the game.

Although Crotone have been relegated, Simy Nwankwo remain the only shining light on their season due to his incredible run of form.

His latest goal is coming few days after his recall to the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the upcoming friendly match against Cameroon in Austria.

The lanky forward is expected to compete with the likes of Victor Osimhen, Paul Onuachu, Terem Moffi, Kelechi Iheanacho for a place in Super Eagles attack.
