Premier League

3 points to consider from Gameweek four of the English Premier League.

Here are three items to consider from the fourth gameweek of the Premier League season.

#1. Cristiano Ronaldo is now a goal danger in a new way.

The passionate United supporters were treated to two goals on his second appearance for the club in a 4-1 triumph over Newcastle United. The 36-year-first old's strike may have hinted at what role he'll play this time around.

After Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman mishandled the ball, the Portuguese forward displayed superb striker instincts to tap home. It was a poacher's goal that his manager praised, indicating that Ronaldo is becoming less about deception and step-overs and more of a straight-up hitman.

#2. Saul makes a forgettable Chelsea debut, while Lukaku thrives.

With N'Golo Kante out injured, Saul was inserted into the starting eleven, but the Spaniard struggled to keep up with Romelu Lukaku, who scored twice in his second appearance at Stamford Bridge to help Chelsea climb into second place.

Tuchel said he made some "huge errors" and struggled with the pace of the game after the 26-year-old from Atletico Madrid was dispossessed three times in 45 minutes.

#3. As Liverpool's revival continues, Salah joins the 100 club.

Only four players have done it faster, and only 30 have done it all, but Mohamed Salah's opener in Liverpool's 3-0 win against Leeds United on Sunday put him among a select club of players who have scored 100 Premier League goals.

Only Alan Shearer, Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero, and Thierry Henry scored more goals in 162 appearances for Liverpool and Chelsea, with only Alan Shearer, Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero, and Thierry Henry scoring more.
