Billy Gilmour out of surgery as Frank Lampard gives injury update

The 19-year-old previous Rangers midfielder has fascinated in a fine debut season at Stamford Bridge, yet won't include again this term. 

The Scotland youngster limped off against Crystal Palace and has experienced medical procedure since in an offer to get him back on the pitch at the earliest opportunity. 

However, Stamford Bridge manager Lampard has told how Billy Gilmour's surgery was a success. 

He stated: "With Billy, it went well. 

"He was in at the preparation ground on Sunday on his crutches. So it went just as it could and now he's going to keep his feet up. 

"His mum's coming down to support him, likely cook and perfect and every one of those things. I'm certain his mum and father will be there to do that.

Like I said when he got harmed, I'm sure with Billy he'll do everything right and I believe that he will return as quickly as time permits."
