Manchester United on Saturday, the 26th of December, 2020 played against Leicester City as the English Premier League returned after yesterday's Christmas break.
Manchester United went ahead in the game Courtesy a 25th Minute Marcus Rashford goal following a sublime assist from Midfielder, Bruno Fernandes.
But Leicester City responded back and scored the equaliser through a 31st Minute goal from H.Barnes.
The first half of the game eventually ended with both teams level one goal apiece (1 : 1 ).
On resumption of the second half of the game, Manchester United missed several goal scoring opportunities to go ahead in the game.
Substitute Edison Cavani assisted Bruno Fernandes to score United's second goal of the game in the 79th minute.
But Manchester United were unable to run away with the 3 points in the game as Alex Tuanzebe scored an own-goal while trying to block off Vardy's shot but it defected off his leg to put scores at 2 : 2.
The match eventually ended in a 2 : 2 draw.
Earlier in the first half of the game, Manchester United Striker, Marcus Rashford missed a glorious opportunity to put his team ahead in the game after he headed the ball wastefully over the bar.
He was there-after criticized by some fans of Manchester United for missing the goal scoring opportunity to put Manchester United ahead in the game.
But Marcus Rashford, has since reacted to Manchester United's draw against Leicester City, he shared his thoughts on the game via one of his official social media handles, he said, "not the result we wanted in the end, time to move on".
