It's 2012 Chelsea all over again - See what happened in 2012 to Chelsea that's happening in 2021

Chelsea defeated Manchester City by 1-0, thanks to Hakim Ziyech's second half goal on Saturday, at Wembley Stadium to reach the final of the Emirates cup. The Blues will play against either Southampton or Leicester City in the Final.

Chelsea appearance in the Final of the Emirates FA Cup and the possibility that they could win it have triggered some memories which all pretty much resemble what happened in 2012. The event are very similar so much that it's happening in the same order of occurrence as it happened 9 years ago.

Chelsea sacked a young manager in the middle of the season in 2012 as Andre Villa Boa was Roberto Di Mateo. This season, Frank Lampard has been replaced by Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea won the UEFA Champions in 2012 after playing against Benfica, a Portuguese club in the quarter finals, and against a Spanish club in the Semi finals. In the quarter finals of this year's Champions league, Chelsea defeated a Portugal club, FC Porto. The Blues have also been draw against Real Madrid, a Spanish club in the Semi finals.

Lastly, Chelsea ended up winning the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions league in 2012. This year, they have those two trophies within their reach and could win it once again.
