Chelsea FC on Sunday, in a London derby, hammered Tottenham Hotspur to a flawless 0:3 victory at the New White Hart Lane in the Premier League Match Week 5 games of the 2021/22 season. And fans have seized the occasion to lash out at the North London club for sacking Jose Mourinho after he qualified the Lilywhites to the Carabao Cup final of 25 April.
Though Tottenham Hotspur had a good game in the first half, Chelsea FC, coming into the second half, flipped the script with N'Golo Kante's introduction claiming a well-deserved victory.
Following Chelsea FC's victory at the New White Hart Lane, some fans reacting, remembered the three times Premier League title winner, Jose Mourinho, who, in their opinion, was sacked unfairly, having a better record with Tottenham Hotspur.
Hastings Joseph Katimba said, “maybe now, you'll understand that your team is average, and Mourinho worked a miracle by getting them to a final.”According to Samson Ayorinde Oluwatogbojule, “this is another indication that Mourinho was not the problem. Some of the players just keep performing below par! A big shaking and reshuffling is needed at the club before Tottenham can compete against the 'big boys!'”
Dale Philips, purporting that Tottenham Hotspur's defeat is a repercussion for sacking the Portuguese coach, said, “typical negative football from Tottenham. Mourinho is still haunting us. We have no idea of what a football game is all about anymore.”Afolabi Oyeyemi Adebayo, purporting that Jose Mourinho, unlike other coaches, receives unfair criticism, said, “the whole football world would have skinned Jose alive if this performance was with him in charge.”
Was Jose Mourinho unjustly sacked as Tottenham Hotspur's manager?
